As Site Manager for this expanding construction company based in London, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the project on site. You will be required to keep the project within the timescale and budget and manage any delays or problems encountered on site. Also involved in this role is the management of quality control, health & safety checks and inspections as well as compliance.
You will be expected to take overall responsibility and accountability for the operational site function within the Group, be responsible for the management of projects on site and liaise with all staff within the Group.
This role will be predominantly working on site direct with clients.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Site Manager:
- Provide high level customer service and ensure compliance to all company’s rules and regulations
- Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to customer/client enquiries in responsive manner
- Procure all materials in an effective manner in line with company procurement policy ensuring deliveries are able to be planned and best value provided. Ensure no impact to works through shortage of or incorrect materials
- Manage daily on-site operations including, but not limited to, productivity, H&S, Quality, Supply Chain and directly employed labour
- Train all temporary employees and staff in line with company policy and procedures
- Organise project review meetings with clients and Arc team to improve performance continuously and qualitatively
- Monitor all company activities and ensure compliance with company procedures and policies
- Develop, train and induct employees to achieve and maintain designed staffing pattern
- Coordinate with supervisors and management to plan activities for higher productivity
- Develop and maintain relationship with management and supervisors to resolve any issues, concerns in line with company policy
- Coordination and supervision of all works on site ensuring necessary benchmarks and hold-points are recorded
- Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
- Maintaining quality control procedures and contemporaneous records
- Ensuring all accidents/incidents/near hits are report accordance with Company guidance for timescales and processes
- Writing reports and keeping on top of company paperwork
- Working with the design team to ensure all drawings are current
- Utilising and updating our EDMS Arc Projects with all relevant job details/paperwork
- Updating programme on regular basis with the Contracts Manager
- Take responsibility for ensuring mandatory training requirements are diligently complied with
- Compliance with Arc branding requirements
- Respect the Arc requirements for continually selling the Arc offering including other business units
- Maintain the project programme ensuring regular reviews. Communicate all changes to Contracts Manager and the Commercial Team.
- Completion of ‘look ahead’ programmes for submission to Contracts Manager and client
- Ensure all activities on site are carried out in line with Company procedures, standards and Industry ‘Best Practice’.
- Ensure those employed on your site are Competent for the works being carried out with all necessary records in place
- Produce RAMS for any work activities required and as agreed with the CM at commencement and during works. Ensure no task is undertaken without correct RAMS being in place and approved
- Report to the Contracts Manager on all site activities including but limited to Labour, Time, Quality and Progress. Reporting to be in accordance with Company procedures.

- Solid experience of site management for a main contractor in the construction industry

- Experience of managing and coordinating the work of others
- Previous experience of running an operational department
- Experience of working in the public sector
- Experience of Maintenance Contracts
- Previous experience of managing people, including probation and appraisal processes and techniques
Qualifications
- NVQ 3/6 in a construction related subject (desirable)
- The post holder must hold a full clean driving license
- The post holder must possess a minimum of grade C in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualification
- CSCS

- 3 Day first aid
- Scaffold inspection
- Building related degree
