Hours of work: Full time, Monday-Friday

Can be fully remote, but will need to travel into the Cambridge office for training to start with

Kameo Recruitment is recruiting for an Operational Cost Analyst to join our successful and highly reputable client, who is well established within their industry. You will be joining a fantastic team, who are hardworking, fun, and collaborative. This position will see you working with the Finance team to query invoices and working with the Operations team to check shipments are correct.

The ideal candidate will have strong admin skills, and ideally some logistics of freight forwarding experience, however training can be provided. Duties & Responsibilities of the Operational Cost Analyst:

  • Use supplier tariffs to determine air freight, local sub-contractor, local agent, and packaging supplier costs and verify their accuracy with the supplier in question
  • Gain documented verification from suppliers that costs are accurate
  • Check agent invoices, querying any discrepancies
  • Audit invoices received from overseas agents
  • Check inter-company billing is correct and that other business units are being charged accordingly
  • Identify where consolidation issues are occurring and demand accurate costs for these consignments
  • Record and monitor results of discrepancy investigations, identifying trends
  • Scrutinise reports regarding supplier issues
  • Assist in identification of high rates in certain lanes and escalate this to Operation Cost Analyst team
