Kameo Recruitment is proud to be partnering with an international manufacturing company based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, to recruit a 2nd Line/Application Support Engineer.

The successful applicant will be project managing the deployment of new solutions, providing documentation and training on IT systems internally, in addition to delivering 2nd line support of business systems, databases and servers.

Duties & Responsibilities of the 2nd Line/Application Support Engineer:

  • Communicating effectively within the business to understand processes and requirements
  • Project managing the deployment of new solutions
  • Involvement with developing of business systems and solutions
  • Producing documentation and support guides for internal purposes
  • Providing 2nd line database and server support
  • Aiding with general support queries and global IT initiatives where required

Requirements for the 2nd Line/Application Support Engineer:

  • Strong experience within Second Line/2nd Line IT support role(s)
  • Working knowledge of desktop and server operating systems, IT hardware and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365,

Desirable is:

  • Knowledge of: Azure, PowerBI and/or Power Platforms
  • Knowledge of SQL, including administration and maintenance of SQL Server
