Administrator – Cambridge

Salary: Circa £29,000 p.a.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 9am – 5.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.

After initial training & induction the role can move towards hybrid working (3 days office and 2 days home based).

Location: Cambridge

If you are hungry to learn and grow, then this varied Administrator role could be the position for you! You will be providing end to end administrative and project support to the team, this will involve administrative tasks such as database management, managing and updating trackers, producing reports on Excel, project administration and managing and escalating client enquires.

This role offers fantastic progression and growth opportunities.  

Duties & Responsibilities of the Administrator include:

  • Updating and maintaining project delivery trackers daily to ensure accurate invoicing for completed works.
  • Maintaining Programme Delivery Trackers and providing regular reporting of project progress to Clients.
  • Providing progress reports to relevant clients.
  • Being the lead contact for internal teams, external partners, and clients; liaise with and between them to ensure seamless delivery of projects across all areas.
  • Intercepting and managing all enquiries and concerns, escalating as needed.
  • Manage, maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Regular analysis and review of client’s portfolio for new opportunities
  • Support line-manager in forecasting monthly and quarterly invoicing.

As this Administrator role develops you will also be given support and guidance to undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Negotiate fees on behalf of the company.
  • Seek new opportunities from existing relationships for business development.
  • Wayleave acquisition, ensuring the business continues to grow client opportunities and other potential projects.
  • Support the wider business in onboarding new clients, including arranging and attending introductory meetings.

Requirements for the Administrator include:

  • Solid administrative background, ideally supporting a fast and evolving team.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel with proven experience of producing reports
  • Broad and stable skillset
  • Proactive, positive, and cheerful nature.
  • Very personable, excellent communication skills with the ability to create long term client relationships.
  • Ambitious with a drive to exhilarate the business with new opportunities.
  • Quick and enthusiastic to learn and develop.
  • Experience within the telecoms or utilities sector would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of private portfolio landlords and housing associations would be ideal but not essential.
