Hours of work: Full time

Hybrid working: 3 days in the office (Monday to Wednesday) and 2 days home based

Kameo Recruitment is partnering with a small and collaborative technology/software provider based in Northeast Cambridge and they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional Account Manager. Reporting into the Senior Account Manager your principal responsibility, alongside a team of four Account Managers is to support the delivery of the area target. As the key point of contact between the sales and operations team you will identify and engage with existing and prospective customer accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Account Manager  

  • Managing the customer sales process for specific territory and accounts via phone and emails per activity levels defined in KPI’s. Potential to do field visits as required, to help advance opportunities
  • Grow and develop new opportunities by working with your existing customers to establish and identify new, relevant products and services their business could benefit from
  • Collaborating with the area team to process orders and ultimately to deliver the target
  • Supporting the other Account Manager’s in resolving customer issues alongside the technical and operations team
  • Ensuring forecasted opportunities within the CRM are kept accurate and up to date by engaging with the area team
  • Maintaining up to date contact and opportunity information in CRM database

You can expect to allocate time as follows:

70% – working alongside the Senior Account Manager to ensure active customers are regularly contacted and receive an exceptional customer service

20% – support the team to build proposals, close opportunities, and delivery of completed orders

10% – to maintain and suggest ways to improve the company CRM database

Requirements for this role

  • Previous Account Management / sales experience, working within a KPI and targeted environment.
  • Able to sell / offer a solution and follow the sales life cycle
  • Natural communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with customers and identify who the decision makers within a business are
  • If someone has a background or an interest in selling software or has SaaS experience it would be an advantage but not essential
  • Working knowledge of a CRM system
  • A team player with a collaborated spirit who is proactive and keen to learn
  • Some one who can self-manage and use their own initiative is essential
  • Comfortable in a small team environment
