Account Director – Manchester

Salary: £45,000-£60,000

Hours of work: Full time, office based

Kameo Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for an Account Director to lead a creative agency in Manchester. This exciting and varied role will be responsible for shaping our Client’s Manchester branch, by recruiting, managing and leading the team to provide the very highest levels of customer service.

You will be building strong client relationships, assisting in the development of high-quality output, and identifying new business opportunities. Previous experience working for a Marketing Agency is essential, along with proven experience of managing a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure regular team meetings, assigning clients to teams, and setting financial targets in conjunction with Client Services Director
  • Develop best practice within the Creative & Media teams that aligns with the Group’s values/commitment to clients and to run regular sessions with the wider team to share knowledge and experience
  • Work closely with the Manchester team and Essex & London to develop key accounts and capitalise on any opportunities to work together to deliver the best results
  • Work closely with the Group New Business Director to convert new client opportunities across Media & Creative
  • Work alongside the other ADs to plan resource, account handling efficiently, identify issues and resolve them
  • Contribute to the recruitment, appointment, induction and of new employees
  • Manage and support employees in line with company policies and procedures, including supervision, absence management, disciplinary, grievance issues, reviews, monthly 1-2-1s, appraisals, feedback, recognitions, objectives/goal setting and supporting with training and development, etc
  • Encourage and upskill your direct reports enabling creativity, collaboration, high performance, and growth
  • Update administration systems as required and promote good housekeeping including archiving old files. Ensuring the team are performing these duties on a regular basis

Requirements for this role

  • A degree in Marketing, Business or any other relevant degree which includes a marketing element (desirable)
  • Demonstratable experience of working in a senior position as an Account Director, particularly within an agency environment
  • A proven record of proactively identifying and creating new business opportunities
  • Highly ambitious and driven individual with the ability to drive a department forward
  • Experience of handling a variety of accounts and dealing with several different stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled at prioritising and managing both your own and your team’s time across multiple clients in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional presentation skills
  • An understanding of GDPR and relevant legislation
  • Be able to work under pressure to meet the needs of the client
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
