Our Work with Careers

Form the Future

Form the Future, a social enterprise based in Cambridge, has been working with local schools within Cambridge and the Greater Cambridge region since 2015 to support their careers and work-related learning activity. Its aim is essentially to bridge the gap between schools and businesses, by helping students to prepare for their future after school and to help businesses recruit their future talent. In order to achieve this, Form the Future has an ongoing programme of careers events at schools across the region, runs a mentoring programme and assists students with work experience, as well as providing a careers advisory service.

Sharon has been working with Form the Future for the past four years, in September 2019 Sharon became an Enterprise Advisor for the social enterprise, where she supports Cottenham Village College with their careers programme.  Commenting on her involvement, Catherine Hay, Events and Relationship Manager at Form the Future, said, “Thank you very much to Sharon at Kameo Recruitment for your ongoing support in 2018. You have helped so many students with your advice on CV writing and Interview Skills and have given numerous Mock Interviews too, always with a smile and a “can-do” attitude. Our Work with Domestic Abuse

Cambridge Women's Aid

Cambridge Women’s Aid was established in 1977 and provides dedicated and specialist services to women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Kameo Recruitment has been supporting Cambridge Women’s Aid since 2018 raising awareness of domestic abuse and supporting their Freedom Programme; in August 2019 Sharon became an “Ask Me Ambassador” where she was given the resources and tools to listen to and direct domestic abuse survivors to specialist support.

Kameo Recruitment regularly partner with Cambridge Women’s Aid running seminars across Cambridgeshire, which aim to educate businesses on domestic abuse.  Our collaborative mission is to be a partner for those businesses, helping them to understand what they can do to raise awareness of domestic abuse, and how they can be a support system to employees who are currently, or have suffered from domestic abuse in the past

Domestic Abuse Alliance

The Domestic Abuse Alliance provides FREE legal support and assistance to victims of domestic abuse. Sharon Livermore, alongside some well-known names in the UK film and television industry, became an official campaigner of the DA Alliance in August 2020. Each individual campaigner has their own story of strength and they are all striving toward a common goal of raising awareness of domestic abuse in our society.

Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse

EIDA is a growing network of employers, from various sectors, working collectively to take action on domestic abuse. They help employers better care for their employees by implementing effective internal policies on domestic abuse.

Kameo Recruitment became an EIDA member in August 2020, we are committed to supporting their mission to share resources and best practices with other Cambridgeshire businesses, in the hope that they too will recognise the importance of our cause and begin to implement positive changes within their businesses too.
